India, Jan. 20 — In a bid to promote entrepreneurship in the eastern part of the country, TieCON Kolkata, earlier this week, shortlisted 24 startups to present their ideas to angel investors and venture capitalists at its recently concluded summit.
Out of these 24 startups, 16 are based out of Kolkata. Other locations from where the startups were shortlisted include Bengaluru, Mumbai, Assam, Manipur, and Odisha.

Medilane celebrated its 3rd foundation day and launched a mobile application and ambulance service today.
The services were launched at a function held at Classic Grande, Chingmeirong, Imphal.
With the Medilane app, any person with a smart phone can book services provided by Medilane like ambulance services, nursing care at home, home sample collection, doctor home visit, physiotherapy home visit, medical equipment rental and medical oxygen cylinder and information regarding hospitals across India etc.
